Pierre's
Connoisseurs of colored gemstones consider this store one of the most
impressive repositories of collector's items in the Caribbean. It's a branch of a store
based in Naples, Florida. In its inventory are glittering and mystical-looking gem-
stones you might never have heard of before. Look for alexandrites (garnets in three
shades of green); spinels (pink and red); sphenes, yellow-green sparklers from Mada-
gascar (as reflective as high-quality diamonds); and tsavorites, a green stone from
Tanzania.

Longchamp Boutique
This store sells the best leather items around, each a
French handcrafted product including handbags, wallets, briefcases, belts, and lug-
gage. Their line of canvas and leather travel bags moves quickly. The well-known
nylon-and-leather Pliage Shopping Bag is also sold here, as well as exquisite acces-
sories, including a full line of signature scarves.

POTTERY
The Kilnworks Pottery and Art Gallery, Inc.
A 12-foot green iguana sits at the
entrance, and owner Peggy Seiwert turns out a series of lizard-ware pottery of remark-
able beauty. If you're not into reptiles, you'll find a limited edition of Birds of Paradise
vases. Some of the best Caribbean pottery is for sale here along with art and crafts
created by local artists.

Zora of St. Thomas
