Argol
POP 830
Argol is a quaint village in its own right, but its main drawcard is the
Musée du
Cidre du Bretagne
(Breton Cider Museum; 02 98 17 21 87;

bretagne.com
;
adult/child €5/free; 2-7pm Apr-Sep)
. This former dairy's old stone
buildings have been transformed into a working
cidrerie
that produces more than
300,000 bottles annually. A visit (allow around an hour, including a French-language
but very visual film) takes you through the history of cider in Brittany and present-
day production. And, of course, you get to taste it, too.
