day too and possibly easier to handle.
Buy tickets for concerts, theatre performances and other cultural events at billet-
teries (box offices) in Fnac ( 08 92 68 36 22; www.fnacspectacles.com , in French )
or Virgin Megastores ( 0825 129 139; www.virginmega.fr , in French) . Both ac-
cept reservations by phone and the internet, and most credit cards.
Come the day of a performance, snag a half-price ticket (plus €3 commission) for
ballet, theatre, opera etc at discount-ticket outlet Kiosque Théâtre Madeleine

Parisians don't tend to watch the city's risqué cabaret revues - tourists do. Tickets
