Festival Internacional de Benicàssim
Spain is awash with outdoor concert festivals attracting big-name acts from around
the country and abroad, especially in summer. This one, in the Valencian town of
Benicàssim, remains one of the original and best.

La Tomatina
This massive tomato-throwing festival in Buñol, Valencia in late August must be one
of the messiest get-togethers in the country. Thousands of people launch about 100
tonnes of tomatoes at one another in just an hour or so!
