Segovia to Santiago de Compostela Spain's

aqueduct and the whimsical Alcázar . In between are delightful streets, fine res-
taurants, sweeping views and a host of other architectural highlights. A day here is
enough, but only just.

Nothing can prepare you for the first time you step inside Leon's cathedral where
masses of stained glass windows bathe the interior in ethereal light. The Real
Basílica de San Isidro is also splendid, while the charming old quarter, Barrio
Húmedo, is very much alive.
