cionados' club, with a large outdoor patio. Dramatic 9.30pm performances take
place on Thursday or Saturday in an adjacent room and cost €12.

EL ESHAVIRA
(Postigo de la Cuna 2; from 10pm) Duck down a spooky alley to this shadowy
haunt of flamenco and jazz. It gets jam-packed on Thursday and Sunday, the two
performance nights.

Despite all this charm and beauty, the Albayzín is still a work in progress and its
narrow streets are often havens for thieves and muggers. Muggings, some violent,
sometimes happen here, so be discreet about valuables and proceed with care, es-
pecially during siesta time (3pm to 5pm).
