Tapas
(Plaza San Miguel 1; tapas €3, media-raciones €5-10; closed Sun & Aug) Stand
aside Seville. Fine wine, great atmosphere, professional old-school waiters, zero
pretension and a clamorous yet handsome decor make El Pisto (the Barrel) a Cor-
doban and Andalucian tapas classic.
BODEGA CAMPOS €€€

Andalucian
( 957 49 75 00; Calle de Lineros 32; tapas/raciones €6.50-16, mains €17.50-29;
closed Sun dinner) This many-roomed, atmospheric winery-cum-restaurant offers
one of the peak dining experiences in Córdoba. Corridors and rooms are lined with
oak barrels, signed by the Spanish royal family and Tony Blair (he gets around,
does Tone), among other celebs, and the establishment offers its own house Mon-
tilla.
MESÓN DE LAS FLORES €
Offline map Google map
Tapas
(Calleja de las Flores; tapas €2-5, media raciones €5-10) Tucked up a Judería side
street and seemingly oblivious to the Mezquita hordes, Las Flores carries on as if
Franco's tourism project never happened. Push in next to the festival crowd and en-
joy some of the simplest but best tapas in town (the prawns are tremendous).
Shopping
Córdoba is known for its cuero repujado (embossed leather) goods, silver jewellery
(particularly filigree) and attractive pottery.
