Las Fallas
The exuberant, anarchic swirl of Las Fallas de San José - fireworks, music, festive
bonfires and all-night partying - is a must if you're in Spain between 12 and 19
March. The fallas themselves are huge sculptures of papier mâché on wood. After
midnight on the final day each falla goes up in flames.
Parades, Fireworks
Fiesta de San Vicente Ferrer

Easter.

Fiesta de la Virgen
The effigy of the Virgen de los Desamparados, hemmed in by fervent believers
struggling to touch her, makes the short journey across Plaza de la Virgen to the
cathedral on the second Sunday of May.
