THE PYRENEES
Leaving behind the Catalan coast or Zaragoza's parched flatlands, a hint of green
tinges the landscape and there's a growing anticipation of very big mountains
somewhere up ahead. And they are big. The Pyrenees boast several peaks well
over the 3000m mark and they're at their most dramatic and rewarding on the
Spanish side of the range.
