Sitges attracts everyone from jet-setters to young travellers, honeymooners to
weekending families, and from Barcelona's night owls to an international gay crowd.
The beach is long and sandy, the nightlife thumps until breakfast and there are lots
of groovy boutiques if you need to spruce up your wardrobe.
Carnaval in Sitges is a week-long riot just made for the extrovert, ambiguous and
exhibitionist, capped by an extravagant gay parade that's held on the last night.
Held in February or March, dates change from year to year.
