abo hill overlooking Barcelona, this fine building has been converted into a mind-
blowing science museum, complete with a chunk of Amazonian rainforest.

side the unprepossessing entrance is one of the city's oldest cocktail bars (famed
for its daiquiris). The bow-tied waiters have been serving up their poison since
1933; Joan Miró and Hemingway tippled here.

An eclectic and happy crowd
hangs about this hippie-ish little bar near La Barceloneta's market. Lounges, tables
and chairs seem to have been extracted willy-nilly from garage sales. Juices, cock-
tails and snacks are the main fair, along with animated conversation wafting out
over the street.
