second revolution in American energy: one that cuts emissions from
power generation by using zero-carbon technologies and reduces oil
consumption with new cars, trucks, and fuels. Precisely such a revolu-
tion has recently begun to emerge—and people are promising far more
than just climate benei ts if it realizes its full potential.
