Figure 4-7 shows the location of the ZY Plate (shaded). Part D will move left and right along a set of
metal rails using a set of bearings and pulleys. (The ZY Plate also serves as part of a slider mechanism,
allowing the Z axis to move up and down. This will become more apparent later when you begin
assembly.)
