Cut these two pieces (and set aside the waste pieces for later) and label them Part A and Part B.
Write the letter on both sides in a corner and maybe even on the edges. In a later chapter when you
make more detailed cuts and drill holes in these two pieces (indicated by the various holes and curves in
Figure 4-1), labeling them will make them easier to distinguish from other similar sized parts (such as
the Back - Part O). Whether you choose to label your parts or not, always get in a habit of measuring the
parts you pick up; use these measurements to verify the piece you'll be cutting or drilling by checking
your building plans.
Note We suggest that you write a part's letter on its matching building plan sheet. This will help to make sure
you don't cut or drill a piece using a different part's dimensions. You might also consider labeling the part in a
spot that will be covered up by another part later on.
Figure 4-2 shows Parts A and B cut out and set aside. Chapter 7 will cover how to make the final cuts
and drill the holes in the two pieces.
