Figure 3-3. Use a ruler to compare measurements to the full-size template sheet.
What do you do if you find that the measurements don't match? If a measurement sheet tells you
the diameter of a drilled hole is ¼” but you took a ruler to the full-size template sheet and measured the
diameter of the hole at 3/8”, then something's amiss. Double-check your measurement again and, if the
discrepancy is real, it's time to get an official answer before actually drilling the part.
Point your web browser to www.buildyourtools.com and post the discrepancy under the
Measurement Verification section. Likewise, the page for this topic on the Apress web site has an Errata
page where readers can post errors they find. We will do our best to quickly check the discrepancy and, if
the error is real, provide a correct measurement as well as updated building plans. For a complete list of
any errors found, visit www.buildyourtools.com .
