Use a sharp blade and cut six strands away from your ribbon cable; after cutting a few inches, you'll
be able to pull the cable apart easily. For the X-axis motor to be connected to the motherboard, cut
about 12 inches of cable. Figure 17-2 shows the cut ribbon of cable and the two connectors that will be
needed.
