Attach the Filament Feed Mechanism and the Extruder to the
3D Printer
The last step is to attach the filament feed mechanism and Extruder to your 3D printer. There are three
holes in Part Q that will match up to the three machine screws on the front of your 3D printer (found on
the Z-Axis Rail Support). You will want two 1/4” nuts on each of the three screws behind the mechanism.
An additional three 1/4” nuts will be used to secure the mechanism in place.
Figure 15-15 shows the mechanism being pushed onto the three machine screws.
