Note You might also consider buying a 3' length of threaded rod and cutting two 13” lengths instead. This will
give you a longer bit of rod sticking out from each side of the machine but you can later use this extra length to
secure the machine to a plywood base, for example, where you can mount the power supply (see Chapter 18) and
make the machine more stable.
Insert a single threaded rod, as shown in Figure 13-19. Note that each rod will have two nuts
between the Lower Structural Sides as well as one on the outside of each Lower Structural Side.

Do not tighten the inner nuts yet; you'll perform this step once the Table has been added. Add the
second threaded rod to the rear of the machine (see Figure 13-19) and secure it with nuts. Figure 13-20
shows the two tension rods added and secured with nuts.
