Secure the motor mount with three nuts, as shown in Figure 13-18.

Adding Tension Rods and the Table
To allow the Table to move forward and backward smoothly on the v-groove bearings, you're going to
need to add two tension rods that can be adjusted to allow the table to be held snug but still allow for
smooth movement.
You will need two 12” lengths of 1/4” threaded rod. Threaded rod can be found at most hardware
stores in 2' lengths, so you will need to cut two 12” pieces. If you have to cut the two pieces, remember to
add nuts to the threaded rod before cutting. The threads on the rod can become damaged during the
cutting and putting nuts on the rod will allow you to unscrew them and “repair” any thread damage.
