■ Note You may find later when adding the Z-Axis Motor Mount to the 3D printer body that one of the 3-1/2”

machine screws needs to be removed if it rubs against one of the Strong-Tie brackets attached to the Y-Axis Rail
Support. This is not a problem, but prepare four 3-1/2” machine screws just in case.

Next, attach a stepper motor to the Z-Axis Motor Mount using four #6-32 x 1-1/2” machine screws
(1-1/4” length will also work) and #6 nuts and washers. Unlike the X-axis motor, however, this time
insert the #6 machine screws through the motor first and secure with the nuts and washers on the
underside of the Z-Axis Motor Mount, as shown in Figure 13-11.
