Note If you find that there is not enough length on the 3/4” bolts, you can use 1” length bolts instead, but
nothing longer. You may also find that the #8 bolt heads, when tightened down, sink into the drilled holes; if this
happens, you can use #8 washers underneath the bolt heads to prevent this. Note that if you choose to use
washers, you will need to use the 1” length bolts as there will not be enough of the ¾” bolt shaft to secure
properly with a nut.
Attach the second Strong-Tie rail to Part C in a similar manner, finger tightening the nuts for now.
Figure 11-12 shows both rails attached to Part C.
