Next, you'll drill another counterbore at a much larger diameter. The plans call for using a 1-21/32”
bit but we used a 1-5/8” bit with no problems. Drill this counterbore hole to a depth of 13/64” (or as
close as you can get it). Figure 7-26 shows this larger hole drilled. (Notice the dimple in the center—this
will be used to drill the next hole completely through Part E.)
