Barcelona Metro Walks consists of seven self-guided routes across the city, combining
travel on the metro and other public transport as well as stretches on foot. Tourist informa-
tion points at Plaça de Catalunya and Plaça de Sant Jaume sell the €16 package, which in-
cludes a walks guide, two-day transport pass and map.
My Favourite Things ( 637 265405; www.myft.net ; tours from €26) offers tours for no
more than 10 participants based on numerous themes: anything from design to food. Other
activities include flamenco and salsa classes and bicycle rides in and out of Barcelona.
Runner Bean Tours ( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; 636 108776; www.runnerbeantours.com ;
tours 11am year-round & 4.30pm Apr-Sep) has several daily thematic tours. It's a pay-
what-you-wish tour, with a collection taken at the end for the guide. The Old City tour ex-
plores the Roman and medieval history of Barcelona, visiting highlights in the Ciutat Vella.
The Gaudí tour takes in the great works of Modernista Barcelona. It involves two trips on
the metro. Runner Beans also has ghostly evening tours and a Kids and Family Walking
Tour; check the website for departure times.
Scooter & Go-Cart Tours
Cooltra offers three different scooter tours around the city (€40 to €50): city highlights,
Modernista architecture and a beach tour.

Jaume I) offers urban and even country tours on two-wheel people-movers! A one-hour tour
costs €30 and leaves from Barri Gòtic at 11am daily. The 90-minute and two-hour tours also
depart from here.

23; tours 2½/8 hrs €70/160; 9am-9pm) has GPS-guided 'cars' (actually two-seat, three-
wheel mopeds) that allow you to tour around town, park where motorbikes are allowed and
listen to commentaries on major sites as you go. The GPS system makes it virtually impos-
sible to get lost.
Boat Tours
Several companies take passengers on short jaunts out on the water. These depart several
times daily (with many departures in the summer) from Moll de las Drassanes near the
