Welcome to the only hotel on the hill, a designer five-star job. Local architect Oscar Tus-
quets took the shell of a building built for the 1929 World Fair and later the Barcelona HQ
of Spanish national TV (1959-83), and created this olive-green block where all rooms have
broad balconies and views over the port, city or park. The modern rooms feature neutral de-
cor, with deep browns, creams and beiges dominating the colour scheme.
