A fun, youthful mostly local crowd gathers around the stainless-steel tapas bar of tiny Mitja
Vida. It's a jovial eating and drinking spot, with flavourful servings of anchovies, calamares,
smoked herring, cheeses and mojama (salt-cured tuna). The drink of choice is housemade
vermouth.

At this eye-catching little cafe, brought to you by Barcelona's famous pastelería Canals, the
humble churro receives a dramatic makeover: it's fried in olive oil to crispy (healthier) per-
fection and served with unique fillings and toppings (pistachio, strawberry sauce, dark
chocolate). You'll even find savoury churros - with cheese, mushrooms and jamón iberico
(Iberian ham) among other delicacies.

This bright and enticing cafe has an art-loving soul with changing artwork adorning the
walls, whimsical light fixtures and a backdrop of films playing silently against a textured
back wall. There's also a lush garden, which is a relaxing retreat to enjoy the fresh juices and
smoothies, sweet or savoury crêpes, pastas, grilled sandwiches and decent coffees.
