In-Depth Information
Seize the night by the scruff at the Carpe Diem Lounge Club, where you can lounge in
Asian-inspired surrounds. Ideal for a slow warm-up before heading to the nearby clubs. You
can come for the food (quite good, but pricey) or wait until about midnight, when they roll
up the tables and the DJs and dancers take full control.

SANTA MARTA

celoneta)
This chilled bar just back from the beach attracts a garrulous mix of locals and expats, who
come for light meals, beers and prime people-watching at one of the outdoor tables near the
boardwalk. It has some tempting food too: a mix of local and Italian items, with a range of
satisfying sandwiches.
Poblenou, Port Olímpic & El Fòrum
Several options present themselves along the coast. The line-up of raucous bars along the
marina at Port Olímpic is one. More chilled are the beach bars. In deepest Poblenou you'll
find a small but appealing selection of nightspots, attracting a mostly local crowd.
BAR
BHARMA

& Sat; Llacuna)
Located in Barcelona's Poblenou district, Bharma is a wildly configured bar that pays
homage to the famously addictive American TV series, Lost . Its stone-lined interior is re-
miniscent of the bunker-like 'hatch', save for the tail end of a plane wreck imbedded in one
wall. In the bathroom, you'll hear the eerie racket of 'the smoke monster', and there is of
course Bharma Initiative beer, an (almost) exact duplication of the Dharma logo.
