The Miles City Area Chamber of Commerce (511 Pleasant St., 406/234-2890,

maps, brochures for local businesses, restaurant and hotel listings, museum information,
and very friendly staff.
The main post office is at 106 North 7th Street (8am-5:30pm Mon.-Fri., 9am-noon Sat.).
The historic 1902 Miles City Library (1 S. 10th St., 406/234-1496,
www.milescitypubliclibrary.org , 10am-6pm Tues.-Fri., 9am-5pm Sat.) is at Main and 10th
Streets; computers with Internet access are available.
The Mudds n' Suds Laundromat (918 Bridge St., 406/234-9076, open 24-7) also
houses an espresso bar (7am-5pm Mon.-Fri., 7am-noon Sat.), which allows you to enjoy a
hot cappuccino, smoothie, or cream soda while your clothes rinse and spin.
Holy Rosary Health Care (2600 Wilson St., 406/233-2600,
www.holyrosaryhealthcare.org ) has a 24-hour emergency room as well as a walk-in clinic
(8am-4:30pm Mon.-Fri.) and urgent care on the weekends (noon-6pm Fri.-Mon.).
GETTING THERE
After a few years of scrambling to keep commercial flights to Denver, and then Billings,
Miles City lost all commercial service in May 2013, which means the nearest commercial
airport is 140 miles away in Billings.
I-94 runs through Miles City, making it an easy destination by car. It is 140 miles east of
Billings and 78 miles southwest of Glendive.
Bus service to Miles City is provided by Jefferson Lines (800/451-5333,
www.jeffersonlines.com ) , which leaves from the Town Pump at 1210 South Haynes (406/
232-2582).
Miles City to Medicine Lake
The stretch of road from Miles City to Medicine Lake is sparsely populated and subtly
beautiful. This is cattle country and the beginning of the badlands. The Yellowstone River
