best service, with jet flights from Atlanta, Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Houston, Chica-
go, Minneapolis, Newark, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Some flights only operate dur-
ing peak times in the winter and summer, and many people choose to fly into Salt Lake City
(275 miles) or Idaho Falls (90 miles) and pick up a rental car for the scenic drive to Jack-
son. Within Wyoming, Great Lakes Airlines ( www.flygreatlakes.com ) flies into the smal-
ler cities listed above. Major carriers with service to Wyoming include American, United,
Frontier, and Delta. Allegiant Airlines offers direct flights to Las Vegas from Casper twice
weekly.
