Rock Springs has a healthy representation of the performing arts, including the Sweet-
water County Concert Association (307/382-8251 or 307/382-5035), which produces
four musical performances annually as well as fund-raisers that pair music with festive
dining. The city also hosts regular Rock Springs Concerts in the Park (307/352-1423)
throughout the summer as well as Movies in the Park (Bunning Park, Evans St. between
Elk St. and Noble Dr.). Also in Bunning Park in mid-August is the Annual Sweetwater
Blues 'n Brews Festival (307/352-1434, www.sweetwaterbluesnbrews.com , $5 pp, free for
children under 12), which pairs a daylong lineup of blues music with local hoppy libations.
As a nod to the town's 56 different ethnicities, the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce
hosts a free International Day (307/362-3771, www.rockspringswyoming.net ) in Bunning
Park in early-mid-July. The daylong family-oriented event includes international food and
beer plus entertainment and activities.
In Green River, the biggest event of the year is Flaming Gorge Days (800/354-6743,
www.flaminggorgedays.com ) , held annually the last weekend of June. The event includes
a country concert and a rock concert along with basketball and volleyball tournaments, a
