ENTERTAINMENT AND EVENTS
With such a young, vibrant population, Laramie has loads of events going on year-round.
From scholarly lectures on campus to concerts and meditation gatherings, the offerings are
plentiful and diverse.
On Wednesday nights throughout summer, the Laramie Municipal Band, made up
primarily of students and teachers from the university, puts on free concerts in Washington
Park (Sheridan St. between S. 18th St. and S. 21st St.) starting at 7:30pm. On Friday after-
noon and evening July-September, the town comes downtown for the weekly and festive
farmers market (307/742-3774, www.laramiefarmersmarket.com , 3pm-7pm). For cultur-
al events held throughout the year at the university, including the University of Wyoming
Symphony Orchestra, theater and dance performances, and major concerts, contact the
