Steve give back to the community with their free Thanksgiving dinner each year. Another
good local place for a quick breakfast or lunch with Mexican flair is Oliva's Kitchen (437
N. Main St., 307/673-0986, 7am-9pm daily, $10-23). Locals line up for their alambre and
enchiladas.
New in the Sheridan community since 2013 is the comfort-gourmet cuisine at Frack-
leton's (55 N. Main St., 307/672-6055, 11am-2pm and 4pm-10pm Mon.-Sat., 11am-2pm
Sun., $9-26). The restaurant serves American bistro cuisine, and features familiar mouth-
watering burgers, salads, pastas, and juicy steaks. Among the local favorites are penne pasta
with gorgonzola sauce, pan-roasted beef tenderloin, and the Original Bar & Grill Burger.
A tried-and-true favorite in town (and across Montana and Wyoming) is Wyoming's
Rib & Chop House (847 N. Main St., 307/673-4700, www.ribandchophouse.com , $10-31),
which is known for their steaks, seafood, and baby back ribs.
For another gourmet, and rather unexpected treat for weekday lunches, try the Wyoming
Culinary Institute (1841 S. Sheridan Ave., 307/764-3388, www.sheridan.edu , days and
hours vary seasonally) at Sheridan College. Specialties include risotto croquettes, starburst
grapefruit salad, shrimp sliders, and lobster thermidor penne. There's even a kids' menu.

conveniently located at the State of Wyoming Information Center (just east of I-90 at exit
23) and can offer very helpful advice in person or over the phone.
For information on hiking, camping, and other recreation in the Bighorn National
Forest, contact the U.S. Forest Service (2013 Eastside 2nd St., Sheridan, 307/674-2600,
www.fs.usda.gov/bighorn ) . Information on fishing and hunting is available through the
Wyoming Game and Fish Department (307/777-4600, www.wgfd.gov ).
The main post office (307/672-0714) in Sheridan is located at 101 East Loucks Street.
