Hiking
Although there is no national forest in immediate proximity to Thermopolis, the locals like
to hike around their landmark Round Top Mountain. In Hot Springs State Park, there are
6.2 miles of accessible walking and hiking trails, the most popular being Spirit Trail, which
meanders through the park.
Boating and Fishing
Both white-water and scenic river trips are offered on the Wind and Bighorn Rivers and can
be arranged exclusively through the Indian-owned Wind River Canyon Whitewater and
