Yellowstone, 290 miles from Salt Lake City and 550 miles from Denver. Grand Teton Na-
tional Park is immediately south of Yellowstone and about 100 miles southwest of Cody
when the park roads are open and 323 miles in the winter when park roads are closed. If
you are driving from Yellowstone, take U.S. Highway 89 south, which will lead you direc-

scenic Teton Pass, where it becomes Wyoming Highway 22. Continue until you reach U.S.
Highway 89, taking it north into the park. An alternate route, flatter but slightly longer, is
to take U.S. Highway 26 until it hits U.S. Highway 89 and head north. For up-to-date road
