mission is to preserve, protect, and inspire, and to do so in part by following sustainable
business practices. They are responsible for the lodging, restaurants, tours, and activities at
Jackson Lake Lodge, Jenny Lake Lodge, Colter Bay Village, Headwaters Lodge & Cabins
at Flagg Ranch, and campgrounds throughout the park. In their restaurants they use free-
range, naturally raised meat and dairy, organic coffee and produce, and they support sus-
tainable farming practices.
Visitor Centers
There are four main visitors centers in the park. The impressive Craig Thomas Discovery
and Visitor Center (307/739-3399, 8am-7pm daily early June-Labor Day, 8am-5pm daily
Labor Day-Oct. 31 and May 1-early June, 9am-5pm daily Nov. 1-April 30, reduced hours
on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day) is located 0.5 mile west of
Moose Junction and serves as the park's headquarters. Exhibits include a relief map of the
park, an introductory video and natural history displays. The Jenny Lake Visitor Center
(307/739-3392, 8am-5pm daily June 1-late Aug.) is 8 miles north of Moose Junction on
Teton Park Road. Visitors services include guided walks and talks, and exhibits focus on
park geology. Half a mile west of Colter Bay Junction is the Colter Bay Visitor Center
(307/739-3594, 8am-7pm daily early June-Labor Day, 8am-5pm daily early May-early June
and Labor Day-late Sept.). Four miles south of Moose on the Moose-Wilson Road (which
is closed to RVs and trailers) is the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve Center (10am-6pm
daily June 1-late Sept.), which offers 8 miles of hiking trails, fishing and swimming oppor-
tunities in Phelps Lake, and unique sensory exhibits.
