GETTING THERE AND AROUND
Livingston is 116 miles from the Billings Logan International Airport (BIL, 406/
657-8495, www.flybillings.com ) and 38 miles from Bozeman Yellowstone International
Airport (BZN, 406/388-8321, www.bozemanairport.com ).
From Bozeman, Greater Valley Taxi (406/587-6303) has a stand outside the baggage
claim area, and rides to Livingston are around $90-110 for a single passenger. Livingston's
lone taxi service, Amazing Taxi (406/223-5344), also offers pickup and drop-off service to
Bozeman's airport for about $3.25 per mile.

Livingston to Red Lodge
This stretch of highway is a smooth ribbon between dramatic mountains ranges—the Ab-
sarokas, the Crazies, and the behemoth Beartooths. The views stretch for miles in every dir-
ection, and although many of the scarce exits off I-90 lead to nothing more than a jumble of
ranch buildings, there are some wonderful old towns that appear every now and then. Big
