The
Taste of Livingston
(406/222-8808), held each spring as a fund-raiser for local
Montessori Island School, began in 2009 and is a favorite local event. The elegant event,
held in the Depot Center, brings together all of the restaurants in town for a savory evening.
If you want a fantastic overview of the art scene and consequently the entire community,
hit the town

held the fourth Friday of every month late June-September; there
is also a single holiday art walk each year in November-December. The town comes out in
force to celebrate the arts.

of one another offering a convenient escape from the town's ever-present wind along with

for the town and a direct link to the town's origins. Founded in 1883, the year after Living-
ston was incorporated, and still run by the Fryer family, the store offers a meaty selection
of books from regional and local authors as well as magazines, cards, gifts, and office sup-
plies. There is also an excellent section devoted to children's books.

T-shirts—perfect for those who don't necessarily want their gifts detailed with rusty nails
or old barbed-wire.
