Your best bet for free Internet access is at the Ophir School library (45465 Gallatin
Rd., 406/995-4281). The library sets aside hours for community use (1pm-5pm Sun.,
10am-6pm Mon., 4pm-8pm Tues.-Wed.).
The Medical Clinic of Big Sky has two locations: Meadow Village (11 Lone Peak
Trail, 406/993-2797, 10am-5pm daily) and Mountain Village (100 Beaverhead Trail, 406/
995-2797, 10am-5pm daily). For more serious medical emergencies, Bozeman Deaconess
Hospital (915 Highland Blvd., 406/585-5000, www.bozemandeaconess.org ) has a 24-hour
emergency room about an hour's drive from Big Sky.
The Wash House Laundromat (West Fork Meadows, 406/995-3250) is open 24 hours
daily.
GETTING THERE AND AROUND
Big Sky is about 50 miles south of Bozeman off U.S. 191. The closest airport is Bozeman
Yellowstone International Airport (BZN, 406/388-8321, www.bozemanairport.com ) in
Belgrade, about 50 miles north.
There are a variety of shuttle services from the airport, including Karst Stage (406/
556-3540 or 800/845-2778, www.karststage.com ) , which has a counter next to National
Rent-a-Car and provides shuttles ($110) to Big Sky; Shuttle to Big Sky & Taxi (406/
995-4895 or 888/454-5667, www.bigskytaxi.com ) offers shuttles from the airport (starting
at $54) and taxi service around Big Sky.
Once in Big Sky, take advantage of the new free bus service, Skyline (406/995-6287 or
406/539-5858). In addition to covering the Big Sky area, buses also run between Bozeman
and Big Sky. Hours vary by season (8am-10pm daily summer, 6am-11:30pm daily winter,
10am-5pm daily spring and fall).
