Bozeman's most significant shopping event is Crazy Days (downtown Bozeman, 406/
586-4008), a price-slashing extravaganza that happens each year on the third weekend in
July. Merchants reduce their inventory prices by up to 75 percent and put much of it out
on the street. Early birds are the winners here; it's not uncommon to see several brand-new
pairs of last year's skis being carried away by happy new owners.
RECREATION
Pools and Parks
Bozeman is a town of relatively young, active people, a fact that the infrastructure in
town reflects. The Bozeman Swim Center (1211 W. Main St., 406/582-2994,
www.bozeman.net , $4 adults, $3 children and seniors) is a 50-meter Olympic-size pool in-
side the high school open to the public at designated times daily. The water is kept at a cool
84°F, ideal for lap swimming.
