GETTING THERE
The Helena Regional Airport (HLN, 2850 Skyway Dr., 406/442-2821) is just 2.5 miles
from the city center and is served by Delta/SkyWest, Alaska/Horizon, and United. The car-
rental agencies available at the airport are Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, and National.
Shuttles to the airport are provided by hotels in town. The courtesy phone to contact
them is located in the baggage-claim area. There is also a courtesy phone to call Capitol
Taxi (406/449-5525).
Helena is 64 miles north of Butte and 115 miles southeast of Missoula. Greyhound
(1415 N. Montana Ave., 406/447-8078, www.greyhound.com ) runs several bus routes to
and from nearby cities, including Bozeman, Billings, and Butte.
GETTING AROUND
The Helena Area Transit Service (HATS) operates the trolley, which has 17 stops in the area
and runs every 30 minutes 11am-5pm daily, as well as the Check Point Bus, with a 19-stop
route that runs 7am-6pm, and the Curb-to-Curb Bus (pickups are not at fixed stops) that
runs every 30 minutes 6:30am-5:30pm.
