Boating and Water Sports
With five rivers in the vicinity, Missoula is a boater's town. There is even an artificial prac-
tice wave, Brennan's Wave, right in town for kayakers to play safely in. 10,000 Waves

sit-on-top kayaks, and kayak instruction on numerous sections of the Blackfoot and Clark
Fork Rivers. There are also overnight trips and gourmet dinner trips, including full-day trips
on the Blackfoot River ($85 adults, $65 children). Strongwater Mountain Surf Co. (614

sales and rentals (river tubes, paddleboards, river surfboards, and kayaks) to lessons and
classes. Ever thought about practicing yoga on a stand-up paddleboard? This is the place.
Another local outfitter that specializes in all things white-water is Zoo Town Surfers (5077

scenic and white-water rafting trips, kayak clinics, and stand-up paddleboarding experien-
ces on local lakes and rivers.
Golf
Although there are a couple of 9-hole courses in town, the only 18-hole public course in
Missoula is the Larchmont Golf Course (3200 Old Fort Rd., 406/721-4416, $28-30 for 18
holes on foot, carts $30 for 18 holes or $15 for 9).
