In-Depth Information
Glacier National Park is a haven for nature lovers, and there are a number of ways vis-
itors can enjoy the natural beauty—hiking, bicycling, boating, and cross-country skiing, to
name a few. There are more than 740 miles of trails throughout the park and a smattering
of historic lodges and chalets for cozy accommodations. Yet despite its extensive offerings,
Glacier still offers visitors a rare and precious sense of solitude. The crowds are gone as
soon as your feet hit the trail, and there are miles of shoreline where the only other picnick-
ers are four-legged. More than just the Crown of the Continent, Glacier is like no place on
earth.
