note that the 3rd floor was originally designed for cowboys, workers, and their occasional
female companions. It's accessed by a back staircase, rather than the grand central staircase
to the 2nd floor, which was occupied by VIPs. The entire hotel is lovely and worth the
splurge.

of the state. In the summer you can sit on the riverside patio and indulge in Colorado lamb

ates as much fresh local fare as possible. The wine list and the desserts are equally excep-
tional, and even the bar menu is inspired.
