Swimming
Starting in 2000, the city of Great Falls went to great lengths to renovate all of its
municipal pools. The Electric City Water Park (100 River Dr. S., 406/771-1265,
www.greatfallsmt.net , 1pm-8pm Mon.-Fri., 11am-6pm Sat.-Sun. early June-Labor Day,

giant slides, a lazy river, and a toddler-friendly water-play structure. The facility boasts
the largest heated outdoor swimming pool in the state, Mitchell Pool, and concessions are
available on-site.
When the weather is not conducive to outdoor swimming, Morony Natatorium (111
12th St. N., 406/452-3733, www.greatfallsmt.net , 6am-8pm Mon.-Thurs., 6pm-9pm Fri.,
9am-9pm Sat., $2.50 adults, $1.50 children 3-17, free for children under 4) is a good option
for open swimming and classes. The pool is kept at 83-86°F. Life vests are provided free of
charge at all municipal pools in Great Falls, but swimmers need to provide their own tow-
els. Hours vary for lap swims, classes, and open swim, so call ahead or check online for the
day's schedule.
