Getting There & Away
From Marrakesh, it's easiest to get transport direct to Azilal, from where grands taxis run
when full to Ouzoud (per person/taxi Dh25/300 return). Head back to Azilal before 4pm,
when taxis become scarce and drive hard bargains.

This regional centre is mainly of interest to travellers as a handy transport hub between
Demnate, the Cascades d'Ouzoud and the Zaouiat Ahansal and Aït Bougomez Valleys.
This is also the last place you'll be able to stock up on cash and log on to the internet.
There's a Thursday souq , and the town's Complexe Artisanal (
Mon-Sat) is on the right
across from the town hall.

Hôtel Souss

friendly welcome and basic pink rooms with shared showers and thick blankets. You'll
find it on the corner on your right-hand side just after Hotel France. The entrance is
through the cafe around the corner just off the main drag, Avenue Hassan II.

Ibnou Ziad Restaurant
(Ave Hassan II; meals Dh40) A good pit stop for lunches of rotisserie chicken and chips,
though football fans might be delayed by matches shown on TV here.

Information
You'll find a number of banks along Ave Hassan II, including Attijariwafa, next to the po-
lice station.
