In-Depth Information
Nightlife
Casino gambling is a prime activity on the Dutch side of the is-
land. Here's your chance to enjoy slots and table games; the at-
mosphere is fun and relaxed at all the casinos. One of the
biggest is located at Maho Beach Hotel,
599-55-2115.
Cheri's Café, located near Maho Bay Hotel, is one of the is-
land's hottest night spots with live music nightly.
Much nightlife on French St. Martin revolves around the beach
bars after a long day of watersports and sunworship. On Orient
Bay, favorites are Kontiki (
599-87-43-27), with its South Pa-
cific theme and thatched roof, and Waikiki (
599-87-43-19),
which offers a wide variety of tropical drinks.
If you're looking for live music, check out Peace and Love
Disco at La Savanne resort (
599-87-58-34), which showcases
many local bands. Bring your dance shoes to Zenith Club-
L'Atmo (Marina Port la Royale, Marigot,
599-87-98-41), a fa-
vorite with locals as well as French travelers.
