and Muramatsu, 1994; discussed in section 3.3.3). Taking the results into consideration, the
minimum Th value has been used to estimate temperature of the reservoir fluid when it
encountered a perfect or large lost circulation during drilling of a production well, afterwards
judge immediately whether the fluid is suitable to use as a power generation in the Mori and
Kakkonda geothermal fields.
Figure 3. Distributions of Th values of liquid-rich inclusions in the analyzed samples with static
borehole temperature profile for well ND-6 in Mori geothermal field (Muramatsu et al., 1997) Open
and solid squares show quartz and anhydrite, respectively. S.T. is a standing time.
Patterns (c) or (d) are however exceptionally recognized in the Okuaizu and Sumikawa
geothermal fields (Nitta et al., 1987; Takenouchi, 1990; NEDO, 1989). An example of well
N58-OA-6 in Okuaizu is shown in figure 4 (Nitta et al., 1987). The Tb value was obtained
after a standing time of 96 hours at the deeper depth and 120 hours at the shallower depth.
