now it's a bit larger. There is even the possibility to expand more; we'll see.” The restaur-
ant's reputation certainly makes that an option with a good mix of customers, both locals
and tourists. “People come here from San Jose, when they are just passing by,” Luigi says.
“They already know us, so they make the obligatory stop. The location is perfect for tour-
ists too; they are always passing by.”
When he isn't working at L'Angolo Luigi fills what little free time he has with family,
cycling and making the most of the beautiful environment. “I really love the beach and get-
ting in touch with nature; maybe because the big city is so much different from here,” he
says. “I love bike riding and spending time with my family. My son is already six years old
and we ride bikes together every Saturday morning.”
“It brings great joy when your food gets recognized,” Luigi says of winning Best Take
Out. “When you get complimented for something you do it makes you proud.” He works
long hours at the restaurant and is pleased that his patrons have chosen to recognize that ef-
fort. Luigi can't help but draw a comparison between winning the award and a great meal:
“It's like when someone tells you that the food is really good,” he says, “It makes you feel
satisfied, like having just dined well.”
And his customers surely agree, for they keep returning to L'Angolo for that taste of
Italy, a beguiling blend of magic and pasta.
