MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK
One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.
John Muir
Manuel Antonio National Park was established in 1972 and although it's the smallest of
Costa Rica's National Parks it is also arguably the most spectacular. It's a world class attrac-
tion, voted one of the top twelve National Parks in the world by Forbes magazine (out of a
potential 7,000).
The stunning landscape is a mixture of white sand beaches, lush rainforests, mangrove
swamps and coral reefs, all captured within its 1983 hectares. Only 132 kilometers from San
Jose, it is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Costa Rica, attracting some 250,000
tourists every year.
