Margaritaville
It's a fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Jimmy Buffett
Quepos
When Jimmy Buffet first found himself winding through the labyrinth of sharp turns, down
narrow streets, past colorful shops and quaint bars, it was clear to him that Quepos had all
the elements of another Margaritaville. At the time there wasn't much to do in 1998 beyond
fishing, surfing, eating, and drinking. Now there's an abundance of restaurants, tours, and
services. Quepos and Manuel Antonio now have 24 of the 27 activities available throughout
Costa Rica.
The small town vibe is still as friendly and welcoming as it was then. When you first
arrive, you'll notice locals stopping each other on the street, in stores, banks, bars and well -
everywhere - to smile, touch cheeks and chat. No one is in a rush, and socializing is part of
the fun of going into town.
