“By the time I meet them we're friends and they're just excited to do this once-in-a-
lifetime activity,” Melanie says, “to cross it off their bucket list. Now, after almost eight
years, we get repeat business all the time. I get emails from people that say 'we went para-
sailing with you three years ago.' Or people just show up and say, 'Melanie, I remember
you from…' or 'Miguel, we remember…' and it's really awesome because they remember
us and they come and they're ready to hang out and they become friends. It's pretty cool.”
No small part of that is because Miguel and Melanie are an engaging couple who love
what they do. They aim to guide people to the right activities to ensure their maximum en-
joyment on vacation. “The really rewarding part for me is getting people hooked up, giving
them instructions, telling them what to expect and having them come back and give me a
hug because they loved it so much,” Melanie says.
“Those moments we will never forget,” Miguel agrees. “There are definitely a lot of
memorable times. People treasure those special moments in life.”
So are Melanie and Miguel glad they traded the crazy, chaotic, concrete jungle called
New York City for the Pura Vida small town joys of Manuel Antonio? You can bet your
dreams on that!
